Residents of the Kuban region asked Bastrykin to complete the construction of the sports complex.

In the Krasnodar Krai, residents of the village of Natukhaevskaya appealed to the Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, asking him to address the freeze on construction of a sports complex and hold those responsible accountable.

Residents of the village recorded a video message to the head of the Investigative Committee, complaining that construction work on the long-awaited sports facility for local residents has been suspended.

The video message from the residents was published on July 30 by the Telegram channel "Krasnodar News - City," which has over two thousand subscribers. As of 6:15 a.m. Moscow time, the post had garnered over a thousand views.

"Dear Alexander Ivanovich! We are asking for your assistance in resolving a pressing social problem in our village – the halting of the construction of a low-budget sports complex. A large number of children and teenagers live in our village. However, today they have virtually no conditions for proper sports and active leisure," residents of the village say in the video.

According to them, children are forced to spend time in courtyards or seek opportunities for training far beyond the village borders. They were delighted to learn that the long-awaited construction of a modern sports complex in the area of ​​Krasnogo Oktyabrya, Chkalov, and Krasnaya Streets has begun as part of the national "Demography" project.

"We believed that this facility would become a center of attraction for young people and a place for the healthy development of our children. However, construction has now been halted. We are extremely concerned about this situation. For us, this is not just a construction site, but the future of our children," complain the villagers.

Local residents say they do not understand the reasons for the work being halted, and they fear that the facility may remain unfinished, and the invested budget funds will be wasted.

"We urge you to monitor the situation regarding the halt in construction of the sports complex in Natukhaevskaya. We ask that you investigate the reasons for the work stoppage and provide a legal assessment of the actions of the officials and organizations responsible for the implementation of this project. Take measures to resume construction so that our children have the opportunity to play sports in modern conditions." "The conditions," demanded residents of Natukhaevskaya.

Last week, the mayor of Novorossiysk, Andrei Kravchenko, visited the village. The press release following the visit made no mention of the issue of the unfinished sports complex. Kravchenko emphasized that Natukhaevskaya's problems with landscaping and road construction are being successfully addressed.

"At a meeting of the expanded coordinating council, we discussed with the village residents the engineering infrastructure, the organization of a new bus route, and other issues of concern to residents. In the new development areas of the village of Natukhaevskaya and the Semigorsky khutor, work has already been completed to clear and install groundwater drainage systems with water diversions at six addresses. Work is planned for three more this year," the mayor wrote on his Telegram channel on July 22.

He thanked the village residents for their active participation and constructive dialogue and promised to meet again in August to review interim results and discuss future plans.

On June 18, Kravchenko visited the construction site of a low-budget complex in the village together with the Chairman of the Council and the Accounts Chamber of Krasnodar Krai. Sergei Usenko.

He then stated that the residents of the village were eagerly awaiting the sports facility, which is especially important for young people and families with children, but the situation surrounding it had become difficult.

"Unfortunately, the contractor failed to fulfill its obligations and did not complete the required scope of work, as a result of which the contract was unilaterally terminated, and a criminal case was initiated. A contract has been signed for a construction and technical assessment to determine the cost of the work that was not actually completed and for further adjustments to the design and estimate documentation," his statement read.

Kravchenko stated that the facility's physical readiness is 46%. Work has been completed on the on-site utility networks, underground structures, and the installation and cladding of the building's metalwork. The main goal is to complete the complex this year.

"We will do everything possible to ensure that the sports facility opens its doors in the near future," the official promised.
