The authorities of Abkhazia called the problems with gasoline supply temporary.
The government of Abkhazia announced the arrival of 414 tons of gasoline, noting that the disruptions at certain gas stations are temporary. Residents were urged not to buy fuel in advance.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", long queues at gas stations have appeared in Abkhazia. On the evening of July 29, videos emerged from the "Podorozhnik" gas station, where dozens of cars lined up along the roadside; according to commentators, the fuel dispensing volume is limited to 20 liters.
In the border areas of Abkhazia with Russia, fuel prices have risen. At some gas stations, prices increased by more than 10 percent, residents of the republic reported on Telegram on July 13.
The government of Abkhazia informed that today 414 tons of automotive gasoline arrived in the republic, while the supply of other fuel volumes is expected in early August, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on the official website.
According to the Cabinet, the fuel disruptions at certain gas stations are temporary. Residents were urged to purchase fuel only in the volume necessary for daily needs.
The government also reported that there are sufficient reserves of diesel fuel to meet the needs of the population and organizations. Restrictions on its sale are planned to be lifted in the coming days.
"The government of Abkhazia informs that in the current conditions, the issue of gasoline and diesel fuel supplies remains a priority. Interaction to stabilize the situation in the fuel market is being conducted with all authorized Russian authorities and suppliers", the Cabinet's message states.
Recall that the fuel problem in Russia arose against the backdrop of drone attacks on oil refineries, including those located in the south of the country. The issue with components for installing gas equipment on cars has arisen not only in the Astrakhan region but also in other regions. This led to long waits for the replacement of fuel systems, and prices for installing gas equipment and for gas have significantly increased. Transitioning to gas is not a universal solution and is not suitable for everyone, drivers surveyed by "Caucasian Knot" stated on July 11.
