The storm brought a large amount of seaweed to the beaches of Anapa. Tourists, despite the warnings from rescuers and the high waves, are not in a hurry to leave the water, bloggers report.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the additional layer of sand has been completely laid on the beaches of Anapa, covering 12 kilometers of the coast. 97 beaches have already received the necessary permits to operate, while another seven beaches are undergoing inspection, the authorities reported. The Anapa beaches, after being covered with new sand, have turned into a mixture of stones and clay, and the reports from officials do not correspond to reality, users on Telegram pointed out, commenting on the announcement of the completion of the sand covering. The sand covering of the beaches of Anapa after the oil spill required significant costs, but the first storms have already washed away the sand, and the remaining sand on the shore has compressed, commentators on Telegram write.

Seaweed has reappeared on the beaches

The wind has brought seaweed to the beaches, and Telegram users suggested that it will not be removed anytime soon. Blogger Yuri Ozarovsky reported today about the seaweed on the beach. According to him, there is the most seaweed near the Grand Hotel. "The 'Golden Coast' beach is a bit better here. The 'Planet' beach is where they start. Right now, the wind is blowing into the bay, creating a dangerous side current, and unfortunately, all this seaweed will wash up on the central beach... It's a pity they didn't remove it earlier," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

"Right now, the most seaweed-filled beach is opposite the Grand Hotel Anapa. I hope they will clean it up," he wrote in another message.

Tourists ignored warnings about danger

The Anapa city administration today banned swimming on the beaches. "On July 29, due to the storm and strong bottom current, swimming on the beaches of Anapa is temporarily prohibited," the message in the Telegram channel of the administration states.

Despite this, tourists are not in a hurry to leave. Adults with children are entering the sea on inflatable rings and mattresses, while the current carries them further from the shore. Rescuers are already shouting.

"They are really driving the rescuers to a frenzy, going into the water with rings and mattresses, dragging children. The sea does not forgive mistakes; just recently, they pulled out two people," noted Andrey Makovozov in his Telegram channel.

In another message, he also noted that despite the warnings, there are a lot of tourists.

"A female rescuer who has been working here for many years is calling for help from colleagues; she can't handle it anymore - vacationers are splashing in huge waves by the pier. Waves of 2 meters - this is deadly dangerous," he added in another message.
