Sobchak demanded Menyaylo's reaction to the activities of the "Caucasian community".
Ksenia Sobchak recorded a video address to the head of North Ossetia, Sergey Menyaylo, in which she demanded a response to the calls for violence against women from members of the "Caucasian community" and to investigate its activities.
According to Ksenia Sobchak, members of the "Caucasian community" are calling for violence against women in North Ossetia, which is why she sent an official address to the head of the republic Sergey Menyaylo.
"Recently, one of its members declared a personal vendetta against a girl whose appearance he deemed too revealing, and her justified angry response was used as a reason to call for violence against her and her relatives," Sobchak said in a video published on July 28 on her Telegram channel "Bloody Lady".
She noted that she saw many comments online from residents of North Ossetia, some of whom expressed their readiness to deal with women "according to the laws of honor". Sobchak demanded that the head of the republic respond to the situation. "Yes, you have your traditions, but it seems that calls to deprive women of health and life are not something you, as a leader, should turn a blind eye to," Sobchak emphasized.
She also demanded explanations from Sergey Menyaylo regarding his attitude towards the "Caucasian community". "Sergey Ivanovich, speak openly as the head of your region: do you support such treatment of women or condemn it? What is your attitude towards this community? Do you not consider it important to investigate its activities?" Sobchak wrote in the accompanying text to her video address.
She demanded to block the Telegram channel "Caucasian community" for inciting interethnic and gender hatred.
As of 1:00 PM Moscow time on July 29, the Telegram channel "Caucasian community" remains operational, with 1,748 users subscribed. The last post was published today at 12:44 PM Moscow time. The video shows a girl resembling Ksenia Sobchak, being carried by several men by her arms and legs. She is then shown sitting at a table and speaking incoherently. Later, she is shown lying on a bed in an unconscious state. "Ksenia Sobchak teaches morality and behavior," the video description states.
The previous post contains a response from Ksenia Sobchak. The author of the post urged the head of North Ossetia to adopt a law that would regulate behavior rules and impose fines on those who behave destructively and vulgarly.
As of 1:00 PM Moscow time, there are no comments regarding Ksenia Sobchak's video address on the website of the head of North Ossetia, as well as on Sergey Menyaylo's social media page and Telegram channel.
"Caucasian Knot" also reported that on October 30, 2024, Dagestani blogger and fighter Gadji Khanmagomedov reported on social media about his detention after he published a video proposing to create a "Caucasian community".
At the same time, analysts previously surveyed by "Caucasian Knot" indicated that due to the state's self-removal from regulating interethnic relations, Russian Muslims have often faced oppression from the nationalist movement "Russian community".
