In Izberbash, unknown individuals damaged the lighting fixtures installed at one of the pedestrian crossings, reported the city head. Local residents demanded on social media to find and punish those responsible.

According to the mayor of Izberbash Rasul Bakaev, unknown individuals damaged the lighting fixtures installed at one of the local pedestrian crossings.

The lighting fixtures were installed to enhance road safety. They made the pedestrian crossing more visible to drivers and pedestrians at night, Bakaev explained.

"And they brazenly broke, damaged, and stole them. I suspect this is the work of youth, but that does not justify those who committed this," he wrote on July 28 in his Telegram channel.

The city head added that the police department in Izberbash is searching for the culprits.

For instance, in May 2023, vandals broke benches in one of the parks in Kaspiysk. Local residents demanded to find and punish those responsible. They also complained that the park fell into disrepair because the authorities do not maintain order.

At the end of August 2025, unknown individuals defaced portraits of combat participants installed in Makhachkala. The city head threatened them with punishment.
