A resident of Astrakhan is accused of financing an extremist organization.

The police of the Astrakhan region reported the detention of a 42-year-old local resident who, according to security forces, was making money transfers in favor of an extremist organization.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in November 2025, the Trusovsky District Court of Astrakhan imposed a fine of 300,000 rubles on 62-year-old local resident Alexey Fedyukovich. The man was charged with financing extremist activities due to donations to the "Anti-Corruption Foundation"*

According to the police, the Astrakhan resident born in 1984, using one of the video hosting platforms, watched video materials on anti-corruption topics. These materials were published on the channel of an organization listed in the register of foreign agents, and later - in the list of undesirable organizations in Russia, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Astrakhan region reported today on its Telegram channel.

Interested in the content of the video materials, he followed the link provided under the video to the payment platform and transferred 500 rubles. Subsequently, over the course of a year, regular deductions of funds were made from his bank account in favor of this organization.

A criminal case has been initiated, and he is accused of financing extremist activities. "The article provides for a punishment of up to four years of imprisonment," the agency emphasized.

The Astrakhan resident has been placed under house arrest.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in May 2025, the court sentenced Astrakhan resident Ilya Bazikalov to a fine of 500,000 for donations to the "Anti-Corruption Foundation"*.
