The number of injured in the drone attack on Rostov-on-Don has risen to eight.
As a result of drone debris falling in Rostov-on-Don, eight people were injured, one of whom is in serious condition.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", drones attacked the Rostov region last night. Authorities previously reported that two people died and five were injured.
According to updated information, as a result of the night drone attack on Rostov-on-Don, eight people were injured, said the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, today.
"Two people received medical assistance on the spot, six were hospitalized. The condition of one man is serious; he sustained significant burns and fractures. The condition of the other patients is assessed by doctors as moderate and stable," he noted.
Slyusar clarified that all the injured were hurt as a result of falling drone debris. Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog, as well as the Chertkovsky, Tarasovsky, Sholokhovsky, and Millerovsky districts were attacked. During the defense of the attack, 50 drones were shot down.
Residents of apartment buildings that were attacked have been evacuated. 56 people are in a temporary accommodation center. The building of a center for homeless individuals was damaged. At the time of the attack, there were 43 residents and three employees in the facility.
"As a result of falling drone fragments, three apartment buildings, 17 private houses, one social institution, five cars, a cafe, and warehouse premises were damaged," the governor wrote.
In Taganrog, as a result of falling drone debris, a production facility was partially damaged. The authorities of Rostov-on-Don decided to introduce a state of emergency in the areas of the damaged houses. Assistance will be provided to residents, Slyusar added.
It should be noted that the Rostov region regularly faces drone attacks. For instance, on the night of July 25, as a result of a drone attack, four people were injured in Rostov-on-Don and one in the Krasnosulinsky district. On July 20, the fall of drone debris led to a forest fire in the Sholokhovsky district, and on July 19, for the same reason, a wheat field caught fire in the Krasnosulinsky district.
Drone attacks on oil refineries, including in southern Russia, have led to a fuel crisis. On July 25, residents of Rostov-on-Don reported that fuel prices in the city remain high. According to them, at some gas stations, a liter of fuel costs between 100 and 150 rubles, and queues persist at the stations.
