A resident of Dagestan has been detained on suspicion of illegal arms trafficking.

In the Unzukul district, law enforcement detained a man who had a Makarov pistol with cartridges in his possession; a criminal case has been initiated.

A resident of the Unzukul district, suspected of illegal arms trafficking, was detained by Rosgvardiya officers.

According to the press service of the agency, the man was stopped for verification while processing operational information. During a personal search, a Makarov pistol with a magazine containing eight live cartridges was found; the weapon was seized and sent for ballistic examination, reports RIA "Dagestan" on July 26.

A criminal case has been initiated, and the detainee has been taken to the police station.
