Residents of Rostov called for the acceleration of work to restore electricity supply.

In the Rostov region, 51 people sought medical assistance after the hurricane. A state of emergency has been declared in Rostov-on-Don. It is impossible to reach the dispatch services, and the work to restore electricity and clear fallen trees is progressing extremely slowly, residents of Rostov complained.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in 15 cities and districts of the Rostov region, problems with electricity supply arose after heavy rains and gusty winds, and in some areas, there were also issues with water supply. Local residents complained that during the hurricane, police, rescue services, gas, and utility services were unavailable, and in some cases, specialists did not arrive for several hours. During the hurricane in Rostov-on-Don, one person died and another 13 were injured.

In Rostov-on-Don, a state of emergency has been declared due to the consequences of the hurricane and rain. On the afternoon of July 26, it became known that more than 1,000 trees had fallen in the city. Requests continue to come in. The consequences of only 132 fallen trees have been eliminated, the rest are still being worked on.

"25 emergency recovery teams, 253 people, and 47 units of equipment are involved in the elimination of the consequences, as well as 6 teams of rescuers from the city Search and Rescue Service, 3 teams from the regional rescue service, 21 emergency teams from district administrations, and 25 units of special equipment," said the city's mayor Alexander Skryabin.

According to him, citizens have submitted 35,000 requests regarding the consequences of the bad weather.

After the hurricane, 51 people sought medical assistance in the Rostov region. 11 people remain in hospitals, including one child, reported Governor Yuri Slyusar. According to him, medical institutions have backup power sources.

Electricity supply is limited in 102 populated areas. Energy workers are being assisted by 20 additional teams from neighboring regions — Astrakhan, Volgograd, Kalmykia, and Krasnodar.

More than 42,000 residents in the Azov, Tselinny, Aksai, Volgodonsk, Semikarakorsky, Veselovsky, and Oktyabrsky districts, as well as in the cities of Krasny Sulin, Shakhty, and Azov, and the village of Zadonye, remain without water, the governor informed.

Of the trolleybus routes, only route No. 2 is operating today (two vehicles are running on autonomous power). Tram routes are not being serviced, reports the Telegram channel "Rostovgortrans".

In the Telegram channel of the city head Alexander Skryabin, users complained about the lack of assistance, one of his posts about the situation in the city received 53 comments.

"Weather 17, high-voltage wire is down, trees are lying in the yard, there is no light, not one city dispatcher picks up the phone, we can't even leave a request! We ask for help," wrote Serhio.

"Services said at 5 AM to call back after 8. Now no one picks up the phone, including 112. Complete collapse," commented Elena Fedorova.

"At 206 Varfolomeeva Street, in the Leninsky district, the power is off, water was turned off yesterday, today there is no light, wires are lying around, and no one is doing anything! The emergency service does not answer the phone, they just drop calls! When will there be light? We have children, elderly people," wrote Aleksandra Borisova.

"Tselyanogradskaya d. 6/11, without electricity for 22 hours!!!! When will there be light?" - complained Marina.

"Pirogova is de-energized. The cable is broken. It is lying on the ground. Blocked by a tree. 112 does not accept requests. Call the emergency service, but as usual in Rostov-on-Don! CAN'T GET THROUGH!!!!" - commented UncleSam061.
