The Ministry of Justice declared a blogger from Ingushetia a foreign agent.
A blogger from Ingushetia, Adam Aushev*, known as Abu Caucas, has been included in the Russian register of foreign agents.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot, in the summer of 2022, the Aushev teiprefused Adam Aushev*, who insulted the Ingush elders. The blogger's brother, Ilez Aushev, apologized on behalf of the entire family, which also disowned him.
The Ministry of Justice of Russia updated the register of foreign agents today, including Adam Aushev*, a native of Ingushetia, who operates online under the name Abu Caucas.
According to the Ministry's statement, Aushev* “spread false information” about the decisions of the political leadership of the Russian Federation and called for violations of its territorial integrity. He also opposed Russia's actions on the territory of Ukraine.
In addition, Adam Aushev* disseminated materials from foreign agents and organizations undesirable for the Russian Federation, the agency noted. “Lives outside the Russian Federation,” the message on the Ministry's website states.
As of 19.09 Moscow time today, Aushev* has not commented on the Ministry's decision. The last post on his Telegram channel, which has 3.7 thousand subscribers, was published on the evening of July 22. The YouTube channel, where Aushev* has 5.15 thousand subscribers, was updated five days ago; in the description of both channels, Aushev* characterized his activity with the words “not a blogger.”
In January 2024, it became known that a criminal case had been initiated against Adam Aushev* in Ingushetia for calls to extremism. The reason for the prosecution was a video published on the Abu Caucas channel in July 2021.
“According to security officials, the video contains statements calling for violations of human rights depending on social affiliation,” reported “Fortanga.”
Adam Aushev* was included in the register of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring back in April 2022. Aushev* is a native of Sunzha, he is 41 years old.
