Ilya Remeslo has been sent to a pre-trial detention center for two months.

The court in Moscow has chosen a measure of restraint for the St. Petersburg lawyer and blogger Ilya Remeslo, whose criticism of the President of the Russian Federation surprised the head of the "Akhmat" special forces, Apti Alaudinov. Remeslo has been placed in a pre-trial detention center.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", Ilya Remeslo, a lawyer and blogger from Nalchik, was placed in a St. Petersburg psychiatric hospital in March after the head of the "Akhmat" special forces, Apti Alaudinov, doubted that the criticism of the president published by a pro-Putin blogger was expressed voluntarily. Today it became known that Remeslo has been detained on charges of spreading fakes about the army motivated by political hatred.

Some Z-bloggers are either concealed enemies of Russia or unconsciously serve their interests by criticizing "Akhmat," said the commander of the unit Apti Alaudinov on November 14, 2025. He promised to destroy such Z-bloggers "within the legal framework through criminal law" if they do not apologize. On the same day, the Gelendzhik city court fined the author of the Telegram channel "Ohronota V vatnike" Oksana Kobeleva 30,000 rubles for publishing questions to the commander of the "Akhmat" special forces, Apti Alaudinov, although she later deleted the post and repented for this material. On November 13, Alaudinov announced a reconciliation between two other Z-bloggers, Ilya Remeslo and Vladimir Grubnik - the latter, friendly to "Akhmat," complained to Chechens about the criticism from Remeslo. The conflict between Remeslo and Grubnik arose over their attitudes towards pro-Putin Ukrainian defectors in the Z-community.

The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has detained blogger Ilya Remeslo, who was previously arrested in St. Petersburg and brought to the capital. He is accused of publicly spreading knowingly false information about the use of the armed forces of the Russian Federation motivated by political hatred (paragraph "d" of part 2 of article 297.3 of the Criminal Code of Russia), confirmed the press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction.

Remeslo has been arrested for two months, until September 16, 2026, according to a message from the official Telegram channel.

“Anton Nosik supported the president - received a criminal case. Ilya Remeslo criticized the president - received a criminal case,” quotes the words of Remeslo's lawyer Sergey Badamshin the project “Word for Defense.”

The persecution of blogger Anton Nosik, which Badamshin recalled, took place in 2016. Nosik then supported Russia's airstrikes in Syria, but law enforcement considered his post calling for the continuation of strikes as incitement to hatred. In October 2016, the court fined him 500,000 rubles, later the fine was reduced to 300,000.
