The deceased was a native of the village of Inchha, Surkhai Abulaysov. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, which was handed over to his son Salimbek, the official Telegram channel of the municipality reported. The age and details of the biography of the deceased were not provided in the officials' publication.
Thus, at least 2035 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies, according to the report of "Caucasian Knot" "Statistics of the Special Military Operation: losses are increasing for southern Russia".
In early May, it became known that Timur Baisultanov and Adam Nuraliyev from the Kazbekovsky district were killed in Ukraine. Dagestan ranks first among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District in the number of killed whose names have been officially announced by the authorities. Sergey Melikov, who headed Dagestan in February 2022, was the first among representatives of the authorities to announce that a Russian serviceman was killed in Ukraine, acknowledging the death of officer Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov.
State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, as stated in the material of "Caucasian Knot" "Three comrades served: how authorities deprive families of killed volunteers of benefits", which describes the stories of the killed fighters.
