Residents of Kabardino-Balkaria pointed out the discrepancy between statistics and real prices at gas stations.
In Kabardino-Balkaria, prices for certain types of fuel have roughly doubled over the past month, and the authorities are not taking measures to curb them or reduce queues at gas stations, local residents said, commenting on the analysts' report on fuel prices.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 7, residents of Nalchik and local drivers said that the fuel crisis led to the closure of "Lukoil" gas stations in the city, prices at private gas stations are inflated, and at "Rosneft" gas stations, where previous prices remain, long queues are forming.
The analytical resource "Check Index" published a review of gasoline prices for the first decade of July. Analysts noted that the price of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline increased by 20% and 24%, respectively. A sharp increase in purchases is observed for all types of fuel, with AI-100 leading in percentage terms, reported "Kommersant" on July 12.
An excerpt from the "Check Index" gasoline price review was also shared by the Instagram*-public chp.nalchik, which has about 514 thousand followers. As of 07:45 Moscow time on July 14, this post received 258 likes and 168 comments.
"20-24% they compare prices at 'Rosneft' and 'Lukoil'. The fact that private sellers sell at 2.5 times higher does not concern them," wrote stomatolog_azimkudaev.
"Rosneft" – 65-70 rubles, private sellers – 135-140. Where is the 20%?" asked a user with the nickname qwerty014qwerty.
"Yes, prices have increased by 20% at both 'Rosneft' and 'Lukoil', but there is no gasoline there. You have to fill up at private sellers for 140 rubles," noted smoeva.makeup.
Some commentators called for increased control over fuel prices and the activities of private gas stations.
"Strip private representatives of their licenses," stated timur417s.
"Why doesn't the head of the republic control the price increase at private gas stations?" wrote 666__777777.

"In Moscow, AI-92 costs 59 rubles," noted a user a_____07___________.

Some discussion participants pointed out the lack of fuel at certain gas stations and queues for cheaper gasoline and gas.
"There is no 'Rosneft' available, and at other gas stations, it's 130-145," indicated zel1305.
"Now you have to stand in line even for gas, as everywhere gas in the city is 50 rubles, while at 'Gazprom' – 32.2 and at 'Lukoil' – 28.7, but there are kilometer-long queues," wrote yurij3308.
Users also complained about the impact of rising prices on family budgets, the cost of goods, and the standard of living.

Let us remind you that the fuel problem arose against the backdrop of attacks on oil refineries, including those located in southern Russia. For example, on June 10, a fire occurred in the village of Afipsky on the territory of the oil refinery. On June 5, an oil depot in Ust-Labinsk caught fire, and residents of nearby houses were evacuated. On June 2, a fire occurred at the oil refinery in the village of Ilsk in the Seversky district as a result of a drone attack.
