These families have 10 people living in them, including five children," a source in the district administration told a correspondent of "Caucasian Knot".

"The partially destroyed hydraulic structure is not a dam, but a hydraulic structure for water diversion for irrigation, which is on the balance of the Ministry of Water Resources. There are no flooded or destroyed houses, there are two houses in the risk zone, which are located right on the edge of the bank close to the river," said an interlocutor in the district administration.

On July 8, about 30 people living in the Levashinsky district of Dagestan were evacuated from their homes due to the river overflowing its banks after the rains. Due to the formation of a blockage of wood and debris in the riverbed of the Kazikumukh Koysu near the village of Tashkapur, the water level rose sharply.

The village of Tashkapur is small, with about 2,000 residents. Residents of houses located in flood-prone areas are currently living with relatives, a resident of the district, Abdulmajid, told a correspondent of "Caucasian Knot".
