In the Gergebil district of Dagestan, after heavy rains, rivers overflowed, houses and social facilities were flooded, and residents of 50 houses were evacuated. In the village of Kikuni, a farm was flooded, resulting in the death of more than 130 sheep and 24 cows.
After heavy precipitation, as well as due to the simultaneous discharge of a large amount of water at the Gunib and Gergebil hydroelectric power stations, the water level in the Kazikumukh Koysu and Karakoysu rivers rose in the Gergebil district of Dagestan. This led to the overflow of the rivers and flooding of several areas.
According to preliminary data as of July 10, five houses in the village of Gergebil were completely flooded, three houses were damaged, retaining walls and the pool of the Hasan Afandi madrasa were destroyed. Three high-voltage poles were swept away, leaving 30 subscribers without power. Gas supply was cut off for 70 subscribers in the village, as well as another 110 subscribers in the village of Maali, reports RIA "Dagestan".
In the village of Kikuni, one house was completely destroyed, two houses were flooded, as well as the gym of the children's and youth sports school and the football field, a feed mill, and a store warehouse. The water swept away 100 beehives, resulting in the death of 136 heads of small cattle and 24 heads of large cattle, and the foundation of a bridge was destroyed.
In the village of Aymaki, local roads were washed away, in Khvartikuni a bridge was damaged, roads were washed out, and a house partially collapsed. In the village of Kumri, two hanging bridges were swept away, the foundation of a bridge was destroyed, and there is a threat of its collapse. Here, the republican highway Mamrash-Tashkapur-Arakansky bridge collapsed, and there is no access towards the Red bridge, and the bypass road through the factory bridge in Kikuni is also closed.
In total, in three villages of the district, residents of 50 flooded houses were evacuated, reports RIA "Novosti".
