"Caucasian Knot" also reported that on the night of July 8, drones attacked tankers in the Taganrog Bay, resulting in two people being injured. One received medical assistance on the spot, the other was taken to the hospital. Both injured refused hospitalization.
After the UAV attack on the two tankers in the Taganrog Bay, fires occurred. "In the Taganrog Bay, two tankers were again attacked; they sustained mechanical damage. There are no casualties. The crews of the tankers have been evacuated. As a result of the UAV strike, a fire broke out. On one of the vessels, the process continues; on the other, the fire has been completely extinguished," wrote the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, on his Telegram channel.
In total, according to the official, more than two dozen drones have been shot down in Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, and Gukovo, as well as in the Azov, Neklinovsky, and Chertkovsky districts of the region.
“In the Azov district, due to the fall of UAV debris, reeds caught fire in a quarry 'far from the settlement',” noted Slyusar.
It should be noted that the Rostov region regularly faces drone attacks. For instance, on June 27, a drone attacked the museum complex "Sambek Heights," and 12 injured were taken to the hospital, of which 10 were hospitalized.
On June 18, one person died after a drone attack in the Rostov region, and two others were injured. On June 10, in the Millerovsky district, a fuel container caught fire after a drone attack, and residents of private houses and residents of a nursing home were evacuated.
