The court in Yerevan ruled to confiscate part of the property from Serzh Sargsyan.
The Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office, which demanded the confiscation of property of illegal origin from the third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, and ruled to recover an apartment and deposits totaling 1.7 million dollars.
The Anti-Corruption Court ruled to recover from former president Serzh Sargsyan and related persons about 630 million drams (about 1.7 million US dollars), as well as part of the real estate in Yerevan, writes Armenia Today.
The court partially satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office for the confiscation of property of allegedly illegal origin. 38% of the apartment on Teryan Street, one parking space in full, and 38% of another parking space are to be recovered in favor of the state.
Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia ruled to confiscate from the niece of the former president, Ani Sargsyan, shares of the small hydroelectric power station "Areni" worth over $1.8 million, as well as cash amounting to about $900,000, writes "Sputnik Armenia."
