The serviceman was convicted in Kabardino-Balkaria for prolonged absence from service.

The court in Nalchik sentenced serviceman Sergey Serafimovich to six years in prison, finding him guilty of being absent from service for more than a month.

According to the case materials, on March 27, 2025, serviceman Sergey Serafimovich did not report for duty at the military unit, and then on April 9, 2025, he reported to the military investigative department in Mozdok. Then on June 10, 2025, he again did not report for duty, and on April 27 of the current year, he arrived at the military commandant's office in Mozdok. The investigation believes that in both cases, Serafimovich was at his place of residence and spent time at his discretion.

At the trial, the serviceman admitted his guilt and expressed remorse.

The Nalchik garrison military court found Sergey Serafimovich guilty of failing to report for duty for more than one month and sentenced him to six years of imprisonment in a general regime colony.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that earlier the court in Nalchik sentenced serviceman Skvortsov to five years in prison, finding him guilty of being absent from service for more than a year.
