The mayor's call to switch to trams due to fuel shortages caused skepticism among Krasnodar residents.
The mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Naumov urged residents to switch to trams and trolleybuses to reduce the excitement due to fuel shortages. Krasnodar residents, commenting on his post in Telegram, stated that they need to get to work on time and pointed out the poor condition of public transport to the authorities.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", against the backdrop of the fuel problem, the authorities in Anapa allocated a separate gas station for public and specialized transport. In Novorossiysk, gasoline is completely absent at gas stations, and in Gelendzhik, AI-95 is available at only three stations, the authorities reported on July 3.
The mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Naumov urged residents to be understanding and patient regarding the situation in the fuel market and local gas stations, noting that efforts are being made to stabilize the situation at all levels of government.
"You can also help with this. Refuel your car with only the necessary amount of gasoline. Refuse non-urgent trips. If possible, adjust your usual routes and use public transport – primarily trams and trolleybuses. Similar requests are made to organizations and enterprises in the city," the head of Krasnodar wrote on July 2 in his Telegram channel.
This call from Naumov to the residents of Krasnodar was published on July 2 by the Telegram channel "Krasnodar Teletype," which has over 127,000 subscribers. As of 06:15 Moscow time on July 4, this post received 68 reactions from users and 14 comments.
"People just don't need to work and enjoy standing in queues. You can feed a family with air. Be patient, switch, but why then are full tanks being filled at city centers or other gas stations while ordinary mortals are told there is no gasoline?" wrote Sergey.
"And how to work?" asked user odtchps.
"But the administration doesn't care. The main thing is to pay taxes on time," replied Angela.
"Switching to public transport is a very interesting proposal. Is public transport ready for all drivers to switch to it? How to get around?" asked user Ine$$.
"Does the mayor not want to personally switch to public transport?" asked Maria.
"Once we see deputies on buses, then we will give up gasoline," wrote Maxim.
"Transfer the entire administration to public transport, that would also be significant," believes a user with the nickname admin of ЖК Панорама.
"It's high time to fire this incompetent mayor," believes Roman.
Recall that on June 29, the authorities reported that only a part of gas stations in the Krasnodar region is operating, and at some of them, restrictions on fuel sales have been introduced by the owners. Governor Veniamin Kondratiev explained the rise in fuel prices by the peak of the tourist season. On June 30, it was reported that long queues at gas stations in Kuban are causing conflicts among car owners. To prevent conflicts in the queues for gasoline, the authorities sent Cossacks and militia to the gas stations.
