The inspection of the reasons for the lack of fuel at Dagestani gas stations has caused irony among users.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the authorities' report on measures to stabilize fuel prices has raised skepticism among the residents of Dagestan. Instead of reporting on a set of measures to stabilize fuel prices, the authorities need to demonstrate concrete results to solve the problem of gasoline shortages in Dagestan, residents of the republic stated on social media.

The FAS of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan has initiated inspections of gas stations in the region due to a lack of fuel. According to the head of the department, Kair Babaev, the agency has requested information for analysis on the volumes of fuel supply to the region and the volumes of gasoline and diesel fuel sold at gas stations.

"In case of violations, the antimonopoly authority will take measures in accordance with current legislation," the publication "RBK-Caucasus" quoted Babaev on June 1. Also, according to the head of the FAS, one of the reasons for the fuel crisis in the region is that manufacturing plants are not shipping previously paid fuel due to operational failures.

This message has sparked ironic comments from users of the Telegram public channel "The Joy of Dagestan," which has over 33,000 subscribers. The public's message about the FAS inspection at 16:00 Moscow time gathered 10 comments. "So, they are quite satisfied with the prices? The problem is just that there is no gasoline?" wrote a user with the nickname Mm. "So the agency doesn't know why there is no fuel? They requested information, will get a response in a week, and in a week there will be a different situation. And everyone will forget who requested anything," suggested Lavrentiy Palych. "A circus, and without horses," noted user A.

"If this (official) can build an underground oil refinery that won't be bombed, then he deserves honor and praise," summarized a reader with the nickname Knight.

According to the service "Where is the Gas?" (Gdebenz.ru), as of 15:55 Moscow time, data on most gas stations in Dagestan is absent. Users of the service indicated that in Makhachkala, fuel is available at least at 9 gas stations of "Rosneft." Fuel is absent at three other stations. As for gas stations in Derbent, information about fuel availability is only available at one of them. The Gdebenz.ru service is based on user reports, so the information displayed on the map is not official. "Caucasian Knot" does not have the ability to promptly verify the accuracy of the information published by users.

It should be noted that on June 30, residents of Dagestan reported queues and rising prices for gasoline. "In Makhachkala, on Magomedtagirov Street, gasoline costs 135-140 rubles," reads a message from a reader published in the Telegram channel "Chernovik."

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that on June 18, Makhachkala motorists said, that they do not feel a fuel shortage, but are forced to stand in queues for it against the backdrop of the closure of some gas stations. On June 19, Makhachkala residents noted that the rise in gasoline prices in the city continues, while attempts to stock up on fuel in advance have been unsuccessful, as gas station employees report restrictions on sales.
