The court in Tbilisi has kept in custody the official accused of espionage.

The Tbilisi City Court has kept in custody the detainee accused of espionage, Georgy Udzilauri — the head of one of the departments of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. The case has been transferred to the stage of substantive consideration.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", Georgy Udzilauri was detained on May 5 on charges of espionage, who until recently headed the public relations department of the investigative service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. He previously worked in the Cartu Group, owned by Bidzina Ivanishvili.

The Tbilisi City Court has kept in custody the detainee accused of espionage, Georgy Udzilauri — the head of one of the departments of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, as well as the former head of public relations for the "Cartu Group" company.

The corresponding decision was made by Judge Lela Kalichenko, satisfying the request of the prosecution.

The case has also been transferred to the stage of substantive consideration, reports "Interpressnews" today.
