The name of the soldier from Adygea killed in Ukraine has been revealed.
Yuri Maslov from the Teuchezhsky district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have publicly acknowledged at least 140 servicemen from Adygea as killed there.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by July 1, officials and law enforcement agencies officially recognized at least 4645 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4705 servicemen from the Southern Federal District as killed in Ukraine, including 139 from Adygea.
The name of another soldier from Adygea who was killed was announced by the administration of the Teuchezhsky district, reporting on the transfer of a posthumous award to his family.
Yuri Maslov is a native of the Gorsky farm in the Djidzhikhabl rural settlement, and he was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, the official Telegram channel of the municipality reported.
The age and details of the biography of the killed soldier were not provided in the officials' publication.
Thus, the number of servicemen from Adygea officially recognized as killed in the combat zone in Ukraine has reached 140. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. In December 2025, the mayor of Maykop reported that four natives from Adygea were killed in Ukraine - Asker Cheuchev, Alan Khristoforidi, Vitaly Bakhov, and Tofik Atakishiev.
State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, as stated in the material of "Caucasian Knot" "Three comrades served: how authorities deprive families of killed volunteers of benefits", which describes the stories of the killed fighters. In particular, the widow of one of the killed reported that without a body, the battalion did not make payments related to the death of the serviceman.
