Krasnodar residents reported a worsening situation with queues at gas stations.
In Krasnodar, drivers spend up to six hours waiting to refuel at most gas stations, said deputy Alexander Safronov. Motorists noted that the situation with queues has worsened, and Telegram users called for an increase in fuel dispensing limits to reduce the congestion of cars at gas stations.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", earlier the governor of Kuban, Veniamin Kondratiev, explained the rise in fuel prices by the tourist season and the influx of vacationers. Locals noted that there was no spike in fuel prices in previous seasons. On June 30, residents of Novorossiysk reported that there is a tense situation with fuel at local gas stations, with more than half of the stations not operating, and motorists are standing in queues.
According to the "GdeBENZ" (Gdebenz.ru) service, as of 14:15 Moscow time, there is no gasoline at most gas stations in Krasnodar. Users of the service indicated that fuel is available at the gas station near OZ Mall and at the station on Krupskaya Street. They noted that there are queues at about a third of the stations.
The Gdebenz.ru service is a public map where drivers mark in real-time which gas stations have fuel, where queues have formed, where there are few cars, and which stations are not worth going to.
Deputy of the Krasnodar City Duma Alexander Safronov reported that he visited several local gas stations to assess the situation. He stated that there are queues at the stations.
Today, a video with Safronov was published by the Telegram channel "Krasnodar Teletype". "I am standing at a gas station in the Yubileiny microdistrict. The queue is huge – it starts near Platanovy Boulevard. People are waiting for 5-6 hours to fill their tanks," the deputy said in the video.
The situation is similar at most gas stations in Krasnodar. At the station from which the filming is being conducted, only AI-92 is available, and there are no other types of fuel, noted Safronov.
Next, the video shows drivers commenting on the situation.
"I have been in line since four o'clock, and now it is already past seven. I have driven around all the gas stations; there is no point in looking for AI-95. They only give 20 liters. Friends from Anapa called; there is no gasoline there," said one of the motorists in the video.
"We came from Simferopol to relax; I have been at the gas station for four hours already," explained the driver of another car.
"At other gas stations, there is no gasoline at all; I didn't come here by chance, but on purpose. I have been standing for almost an hour," said another driver.
"Today, the situation is really bad. We have already slept in line and eaten. We are just standing here," noted another motorist.
This post in the Telegram channel "Krasnodar Teletype," which has over 127,000 subscribers, had about 4,400 views and 20 comments as of 14:15 Moscow time on July 1.
"Because crowds of people rushed to fill up as much gasoline as they can for a lifetime, creating a general stir; we expect it to stabilize in a couple of weeks," wrote Ivan.
"The situation is twofold. Speculators are profiting. People are panicking. But not all are speculators and not all are panickers. Some just need to fill their tank with 60 liters, not for stockpiling, but just to fill it up," noted user Ole.
"Every working gas station needs a traffic police crew, as some bypass the queue and cut in," emphasized Vikntnc.
"Those with a right-side fuel tank do this. But they pull in where the left tank is being filled," replied Alexander.
"What does the tank have to do with it? It's about those bypassing the queue and cutting in right at the entrance," wrote Vikntnc in response.
"I also think that if the limits are raised, say to 40-50 liters, the stir will subside faster. As it is, I filled up 20 liters – in a few days, I will be back in line," wrote a user with the nickname D.A.
"Of course, a limit of 60 liters would reduce the queue by three times," agreed user Ggigov.
"Thank the resellers with canisters. And don't forget those who fill up under contracts," noted Marina.
