The FSB of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory has initiated a criminal case against a 34-year-old resident of Krasnodar, who is accused of treason.
According to the investigation, the man found information in a messenger about fundraising for a Ukrainian armed formation disguised as an advertisement for selling goods. He made a money transfer, realizing that it would go towards purchasing military equipment and other needs of the formation, writes "Kommersant" on June 30.
A criminal case has been initiated under the article on state treason, and the man faces a penalty of up to life imprisonment.
Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that at the end of April, the Krasnodar Regional Court sentenced a resident of Krasnodar to 13 years in prison, finding her guilty of treason for money transfers to the account of a person engaged in fundraising activities in Ukraine.
