770 tons of wheat were shipped from Russia to Armenia in transit through Azerbaijan.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", on June 20, Russia exported 490 tons of grain to Armenia in transit through Azerbaijan.
On June 28, another batch of wheat from Russia was sent to Armenia in transit through Azerbaijan, Oxu.az reports.
A cargo of wheat with a total weight of 770 tons was sent in 11 wagons from the Bilajari station in the direction of Boyuk-Kyasik station, and then proceed through Georgia to Armenia.
Previously, more than 34,000 tons of grain, about 8,000 tons of fertilizer, 133 tons of aluminum, 68 tons of buckwheat, and 414 tons of anthracite were shipped from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan.
Also, as Trend reports, as of June 28, more than 14,000 tons of diesel fuel and about 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline were delivered from Azerbaijan to Armenia.
As a reminder, in October 2025, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced the lifting of all restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia. In early November 2025, a shipment of Russian grain arrived in Armenia via Azerbaijan for the first time since the 1990s. Armenian authorities stated that this was the fulfillment of one of the agreements reached in the United States, which would contribute to strengthening peace between Yerevan and Baku.
On February 4, Aliyev and Pashinyan met in the UAE to discuss the economic cooperation they had initiated and agreed to explore opportunities to expand trade. Although trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Armenia is mutually beneficial, will be limited in the near future, Baku analysts believe.
