The names of the soldiers killed in the SVO zone from Kuban have been announced.
Korenovsky District authorities reported the presentation of posthumous awards to 14 soldiers. The total number of soldiers from Krasnodar Krai killed in the SVO zone, officially reported, is at least 863.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by June 4, officials and security forces officially recognized that at least 849 servicemen from Krasnodar Krai were killed in Ukraine.
The head of the Korenovsky district, Sergei Goloborodko, reported on the transfer of awards to the families of soldiers killed in the military operation zone.
Among those killed are Nikolai Budanov, Nikolai Vinogradov, Gennady Davydenko, Stanislav Elizarov, Alexey Krotenko, Ivan Krasovsky, Dmitry Kononenko, Alexander Kubyshkin, Pavel Prokopovich, Mikhail Ryapolov, Engel Samigullin, Konstantin Slyusarev, Igor Tertychny, and Vitaly Shchelest, according to a message on his Telegram channel today.
Thus, at least 863 soldiers from the Krasnodar Territory and Volgograd Region have been officially recognized as killed.
Oleg Golubyatnikov, Nikolai Vasilyev-Korolev, and Valentin Mozgovoy from the Korenovsky district, reported the Korenovsky district administration in the summer of 2025.
"Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "NVO Statistics: Losses Are Growing for Southern Russia."
State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on Channel One do not guarantee state support for the families of those killed, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Three Comrades Served: How the Authorities Are Depriving the Families of Killed Volunteers of Benefits," which describes the stories of the slain soldiers. "Staff from the St. Petersburg administration and the military registration and enlistment office asked me themselves if my son's body had been found. In January 2023, I told them in response to another call that the body had been found and that I was on my way to get it," said the mother of one of the victims.
