A batch of petroleum products was sent from Azerbaijan to Armenia.

A train carrying one thousand tons of diesel fuel was sent from Azerbaijan to Armenia today.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", on June 20, Russia sent another batch of grain to Armenia via Azerbaijan. Baku announced the shipment of a batch of diesel fuel to Armenia.

On December 18, 2025, the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic delivered locally produced oil to Armenia for the first time. Some social media users considered the trade an indicator of normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan. They pointed to the prospect of joint development and peaceful coexistence for future generations.

Today, 17 railcars carrying diesel fuel, weighing approximately 1,000 tons, departed from Bilajari station in the direction of Boyuk Kesik, the APA news agency reported.

Also, 18 railcars carrying grain, weighing 1,260 tons, were sent from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan. The train departed from Bilajari station on the outskirts of Baku, Trend.az reported today.

In total, more than 13,000 tons of diesel fuel and over 4,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline were shipped from Azerbaijan to Armenia. More than 32,000 tons of grain, 7,000 tons of fertilizer, 133 tons of aluminum, 68 tons of buckwheat, and 414 tons of anthracite were also transited from Russia to Armenia through Azerbaijan, the publication noted.

As a reminder, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced the lifting of all restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia in October 2025. In November 2025, for the first time since the 1990s, a cargo of Russian grain arrived in Armenia via Azerbaijan. The Armenian authorities noted that this was the fulfillment of one of the agreements reached in the United States, which contributed to strengthening peace between Yerevan and Baku.

On August 8, 2025, at a meeting in Washington, Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a declaration on the cessation of hostilities. US President Donald Trump stated that the key issue that prevented the signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Zangezur Corridor, has been resolved.
