A fighter from Prokhladny was killed in a military operation.

Viktor Trukhachev was killed in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 410 fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed.

According to the "Caucasian Knot," as of June 19, authorities and security forces officially recognized at least 408 fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria as killed during the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine.

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on Channel One do not guarantee state support for the families of those killed, according to the "Caucasian Knot" article "Three Comrades Served: How Authorities Are Depriving Families of Killed Volunteers of Benefits," which describes the stories of the killed fighters.

Thus, at least 410 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. The "Caucasian Knot" knows the names of 397 of them, and the deaths of another 13 were revealed in the republic's government report on payments to the families of those killed in 2022.

The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Northeastern Military District Statistics: Losses Are Growing in Southern Russia".
