The FSB reported on the prevention of terrorist attacks in Adygea and Kuban.

The suspects planned terrorist attacks against military personnel, as well as against transport infrastructure and fuel and energy facilities in Adygea and the Krasnodar Territory, according to the FSB.

According to investigators, the suspects acted on the orders of handlers in Ukraine, from whom they received instructions. One of the detainees stated that he was supposed to blow up a military vehicle. Security forces caught him in the act of opening the hiding place.

A total of three suspects have been detained – in Adygea, the Krasnodar Territory, and the Tyumen Region. "The perpetrators planned to commit acts of sabotage and terrorism against military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces, a volunteer organization providing support to participants in a special military operation, transport infrastructure facilities, and the fuel and energy sector in the aforementioned regions," RIA Novosti reported today as saying by the FSB.

Explosives and homemade incendiary devices were seized from the suspects. Security forces have opened cases of preparing a terrorist attack and illegal possession of explosives. Those detained also face charges of treason, the report stated.

No comments have been received from the detainees or their representatives regarding the investigation's version of events.
