A contract soldier from Rostov-on-Don reported pressure from his command.

During a court hearing on his case for being absent from his unit for more than four hours, contract soldier Alexei Urlik alleged illegal actions by his fellow soldiers and pressure from his superiors.

According to the case materials, contract soldier Alexei Urlik was absent from his unit for more than four hours, for which a military court in Rostov-on-Don previously sentenced him to 20 days' detention.

The contract soldier disagreed with the punishment and appealed it. In his appeal, he noted that the court failed to consider that command pressured him and that his fellow soldiers committed illegal actions. The contract soldier also indicated that he had previously appealed to the prosecutor's office, according to a statement published on the website of the Southern District Military Court.

The court's statement did not specify the specific actions taken by the command and his fellow soldiers against Urlik.

The Southern District Military Court upheld the ruling of the Rostov-on-Don Garrison Military Court, which found Alexei Urlik guilty of being absent from his military unit and sentenced him to 20 days of arrest. The court dismissed a contract soldier's complaint about pressure from his command, the report stated.

No comments were received from Alexey Urlik or his representatives regarding the court's decision.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that on June 8, a conscript from Krasnodar Krai reported that the military registration and enlistment office had upgraded his fitness category, despite his asthma. His lawyer claimed the category had been changed illegally and filed a lawsuit.
