Adam Kadyrov received the title of Hero of Chechnya for the second time.

Ramzan Kadyrov has awarded the title of Hero of Chechnya to his 18-year-old son Adam for the second time. The first award was presented shortly after Nikita Zhuravel was beaten in a pretrial detention center. The Chechen authorities explained the assignment of the title by citing outstanding service to the state, service to the people, and support for the SVO.

Adam Kadyrov named Hero of Chechnya after beating Zhuravel
Ramzan Kadyrov's son, Adam, who beat up Nikita Zhuravel in jail in front of a video camera, has been awarded the title Hero of Chechnya, State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov announced. He noted that Adam Kadyrov has achieved success in sports fighting, as well as in studying the Koran.

As "Caucasian Knot" wrote, Ramzan Kadyrov's third son Adam began receiving numerous awards and titles in the fall of 2023, shortly after Nikita Zhuravel was beaten in pretrial detention, including the title of Hero of Chechnya. In April, Adam Kadyrov received a commemorative medal in honor of the 20th anniversary of the formation of the Sever regiment, which bears the name of his grandfather. On August 25, 2025, he was presented with the medal "Defender of the Chechen Republic" during the tactical shooting championship, although he himself did not take part in this competition. Commenting on the award, Ramzan Kadyrov stated that his son received all the awards for specific achievements. On May 31, Adam Kadyrov received a medal for his contribution to the Special Military Operations.

The announcement of the awarding of the title of Hero of Chechnya to Adam Kadyrov, Secretary of the Security Council of the Chechen Republic, was made today by Magomed Daudov on his Telegram channel.

He noted that the title was awarded by decree of Ramzan Kadyrov "for outstanding services to the state, selfless service to the people, active and fruitful work aimed at comprehensive support of the special military operation, and in connection with Russia Day."

Adam Kadyrov's father presented the award to him, according to a video published by TASS.

As a reminder, Ramzan Kadyrov himself has twice received the title of Hero of Chechnya. On February 24, 2023, he became the first recipient of the Hero of Chechnya title. This title is awarded by the head of Chechnya, according to a decree signed by Kadyrov. On October 5, 2025, on the occasion of his birthday, he was awarded the Hero of Chechnya title for the second time. He signed the decree awarding it himself.

CPSU General Secretary Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev received numerous awards, but, unlike Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, he did not award them to himself. The repeated awarding of the title of Hero of Chechnya to Kadyrov most likely serves a compensatory function, analysts have noted.

On January 16, sources reported that the motorcade of Ramzan Kadyrov's third son was involved in an accident in Grozny, injuring Adam Kadyrov and those accompanying him. For three weeks after the reports of the accident, Adam Kadyrov maintained relative activity on social media, but did not publish any new images of himself. On February 9, Ramzan Kadyrov mentioned for the first time the traffic accident involving his third son, Adam, calling all media reports about the incident a "fabrication." On February 10, he posted a short video of a "late dinner," showing his third son, Adam, for the first time in over three weeks, after he was allegedly involved in a traffic accident in mid-January. Social media users found the video strange; its quality and length only raised new questions on the social media. The "Caucasian Knot" has prepared a report entitled "What is known about the classified incident involving Adam Kadyrov in Grozny".

Ramzan Kadyrov would like to see his third son, Adam, as his successor, but in reality, neither Adam nor the other sons of the Chechen leader have received guarantees from the Kremlin allowing them to claim power in the republic, analysts previously interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" indicated. "The federal center gave Ramzan no guarantees that power would fall to Adam. Therefore, a specific position, whether it's Security Council Secretary, held by Adam Kadyrov, or Deputy Prime Minister, held by Akhmat Kadyrov, offers no advantage to either potential successor. In any case, the final say will rest with Putin," political scientist Sergei Boyko recalled.
