Prosperous Armenia held a protest outside the Central Election Commission building.

Prosperous Armenia supporters gathered outside the Central Election Commission building, demanding a fair recount. The building was cordoned off by a large police presence. The Central Election Commission called for the final election results to be announced.

As reported by the Caucasian Knot, the opposition parties Prosperous Armenia and Wings of Unity, as well as the Armenia bloc, demanded that the election commission recount votes at 555 polling stations, and Strong Armenia demanded that the results at one polling station be annulled. As a result of the recount, 140 votes were added to Prosperous Armenia's tally. On June 11, the results at two polling stations in Armenia were annulled by decision of the Central Election Commission. As a result, Prosperous Armenia lost 213 votes.

The Civil Contract Party, led by current Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, won the country's parliamentary elections, garnering 49.81% of the vote. The victory of Pashinyan's party in the parliamentary elections has portrayed the Kremlin as the loser, Russian political scientists interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" noted.

The Prosperous Armenia Party is holding a protest in front of the republic's Central Electoral Commission.

Earlier, Hrachya Rostoyamn, head of the Prosperous Armenia Party's campaign headquarters, called on citizens to gather outside the CEC building on June 12 to "raise their voices of protest against the ongoing injustices and permissiveness," News.Am reports.

A large crowd has gathered in front of the Central Election Commission building, and the situation is calm. Across the street, along the Central Election Commission building, there is a police cordon, according to a video posted by blogger Mika Badalyan.

The Prosperous Armenia Party will appeal to the Constitutional Court if the Central Electoral Commission does not overturn its decision to annul the results of the two polling stations. This was announced by the party's lawyer, Aram Orbelyan, at a joint briefing.

According to him, the PAP's legal team has already begun challenging the CEC's decisions. The party intends to seek the overturning of the commission's decisions, holding a rerun of the vote at the two polling stations, or calling a repeat election. Orbelyan noted that the Electoral Code provides for specific procedures in the event that the election results are declared invalid. According to him, the party is also investigating whether a similar approach was used to assess violations at other polling stations, Armenia Today reports.

The Prosperous Armenia Party is beginning a series of steps aimed at protecting justice and the interests of voters, as well as countering the government's illegal actions, party leader Gagik Tsarukyan announced today. "Our legal teams are working on all possible appeal mechanisms and lawsuits. We are also beginning political consultations with various political forces to develop a unified agenda and joint actions," Aysor.Am quotes him as saying.

Oligarch Gagik Tsarukyan's Prosperous Armenia Party, former President Robert Kocharyan's Armenia bloc, and businessman Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia bloc are the most pro-Russian participants in the Armenian parliamentary elections, analysts previously noted.

"The most surprising thing is that Gagik is the first to bring people out onto the streets." Tsarukyan, who, frankly, is not aspiring to power. <...> Yes, this is, let's say, an unfocused public statement, without any claims to a change of power, but it is an action, after all, an action and a deed, because Robert Kocharyan, who promised a revolution, is neither seen nor heard, and there's not much from Samvel Karapetyan either," Badalyan commented, expressing the opinion that all the court proceedings will lead nowhere.

The Central Election Commission called for waiting for the final election results

"At the moment, any official comment from the Central Election Commission regarding the situation could be perceived as biased, so we urge you to wait for the final tally of the voting results on June 14. The meeting will be broadcast live and will also be open for coverage (as well as for those entities entitled to attend the CEC meetings). "The CEC Chairman will hold a press conference immediately after the meeting," Armenpress quotes the Central Election Commission as saying.

The parliamentary elections have effectively become a referendum on the future of the current government and Armenia's foreign policy. The "Caucasian Knot" has published a report titled "2026 Elections to the National Assembly (Parliament) of Armenia".
