An orphan in the Volgograd region complained about officials' refusal to provide housing.
Volgograd Region resident Maxim Chadlev, an orphan, complained that officials have long failed to provide him with the housing he is legally entitled to.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," orphans in Volgograd and the Volgograd Region, who are supposed to be provided with housing by the authorities, have repeatedly complained of violations of their housing rights. Specifically, on August 9, 2024, Volgograd orphan Darya Kulbachnaya complained that authorities were refusing to provide her with the housing she is legally entitled to, citing a long waiting list and offering temporary options. Lawyers noted that officials violated the orphan's rights.
The Association for the Protection of Orphans' Rights published a video message from Maxim Chadlev on its VKontakte page. In the video, Chadlev said that a court ordered officials to provide him with housing in 2024.
"I've submitted documents for a housing purchase certificate three times. They've refused me because I have a low income. I'm also a disabled person of the second non-working group. My entire income is 15,000 rubles," he noted.
In the video, Chadlev appealed to Investigative Committee head Alexander Bastrykin for help in restoring his housing rights.
The video description clarifies that Chadlev had previously contacted the Volgograd Region Construction Committee about a possible payment, but was denied.
