Victims of the attack on cargo ships in the Sea of Azov have been discharged.
All six people injured in the drone attack on cargo ships in the Sea of Azov have been discharged from the hospital.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", on the night of June 5, two foreign cargo ships with 25 Azerbaijani citizens on board were attacked by drones in the Sea of Azov. Initially, it was reported that five Azerbaijani citizens were killed; later, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry clarified that four of the victims were Azerbaijani citizens, and the fifth was a Russian citizen.
All six people injured in the drone attack on the Natra and Zirkon cargo ships in Taganrog Bay have been discharged from the hospital, Interfax-Yug reported today, citing the Kuban operational headquarters.
According to Krasnodar Krai authorities, six of the injured were hospitalized in moderate condition. Officials did not specify their nationalities.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported that only four Azerbaijani citizens were among the wounded; they were taken to a hospital in Yeysk. Two of the injured Azerbaijanis, Samid Ibadzade and Rashad Madatkhanov, were discharged on June 6. The others, Emin Valehov (born in 2002) and Namig Jafarli (born in 1999), were diagnosed with hearing impairment.
The Natra, a Belize-flagged vessel, was en route from Turkey to Rostov-on-Don to load grain. There were 12 people on board. Two of them died in the attack. The fire that broke out on board was extinguished by the crew. The Zircon, a Palau-flagged vessel, had 14 people on board, three of whom died. The Azerbaijani citizens were working on the vessels under private contracts.
