Journalists learned of Artur Denisultanov's death
Artur Denisultanov, a native of Chechnya, suspected of involvement in the murders and assassination attempts on Kadyrov's critics abroad, was killed in a war zone in Ukraine.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," Artur Denisultanov, a native of Chechnya, suspected of involvement in the murders and assassination attempts on Kadyrov's critics abroad, was sentenced in Moscow in February 2023 to six years in prison for fraud involving 37 million rubles. In court, he argued that he was entitled to leniency because he had fought in eastern Ukraine.
Denisultanov (also known as Kurmakayev), nicknamed "Dingo," was detained and arrested in Kyiv on suspicion of the attempted murder of Adam Osmayev and Amina Okuyeva, which occurred on June 1, 2017, in Kyiv. He was also a suspect in the murder of Umar Israilov in Vienna. He spent two and a half years in a Ukrainian pretrial detention center awaiting the court's verdict. In December 2019, it became known that Kurmakaev was handed over to representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics in exchange for captured Ukrainians.
Mediazona*, citing leaked civil registry office data, reported today that Artur Denisultanov was killed in combat.
According to the publication, Denisultanov was sent to the front from a penal colony after being sentenced by a Moscow court in February 2023. His death was registered by the Kurchaloevsky District Civil Registry Office in Chechnya in December 2024.
Denisultanov was killed near the town of Selidovo in the Donetsk region. His official date of death is listed as November 2, 2024.
According to the Ukrainian project "I Want to Find," which helps Russians search for relatives missing in war zones, Denisultanov was killed two months earlier, on September 2, 2024. The list of killed Chechen natives published by the project indicates that Denisultanov, born in 1967, was listed as a rifleman in the 27th Motorized Rifle Division, holding the rank of private.
