The prosecutor's office has charged a cosmetologist from Dagestan who, in 2023, underwent liposuction, after which a client developed complications that caused serious harm to her health. Another victim is involved in the case.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," in February, a court in Makhachkala arrested cosmetologist Raisat Algasanova, whose patient suffered serious complications after liposuction. The case for which Algasanova was arrested is one of many, sources claim.

A cosmetologist from Makhachkala has been charged with providing services that do not meet life safety requirements, which negligently resulted in grievous bodily harm to two clients (clause "b" of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Russian Criminal Code), Kommersant reported on June 5, citing the press service of the Dagestan Prosecutor's Office.

According to investigators, from 2022 to 2024, the private cosmetologist worked in rented premises. She was not registered as an entrepreneur, did not have a higher education in her specialty, and did not have a license to provide medical services.

The accused partially admitted guilt, confirming that she provided services to a specific patient without a license, but denied other charges, calling them the machinations of competitors.
