Today, the acquittal of a 91-year-old pensioner from the village of Dinskaya, who was accused of indecent acts, came into force, an employee of the criminal cases office of the Dinsky District Court told a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"The acquittal was rendered on May 22. No complaints from the state prosecutor were received by the court within 10 days. The verdict has come into force. The hearings were held behind closed doors," he said.

The acquittal rate in Russia is less than 1%, lawyer Roman Klykov, who is not involved in this case, commented to a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"They are usually rendered only in cases where the court finds serious flaws in the prosecution's evidence, concludes the defendant is innocent, or when the inconsistency of the charges becomes obvious," he said.
