The Russian Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit to confiscate the property of Krasnodar judges Olga Borisova and Olga Bogatykh for state use.
As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", in early April, the High Qualification Collegium of Judges sent materials to the Prosecutor General's Office for anti-corruption checks of four judges from Krasnodar Krai, including judges of the Fourth Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction Olga Borisova and Olga Bogatykh.
The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation filed a lawsuit with the Tverskoy Court of Moscow seeking state control over the property of Olga Borisova and Olga Bogatykh, judges of the Fourth Cassation Court in Krasnodar, the Pravo.ru portal reported on May 30.
The basis for the lawsuit was the judges' violation of anti-corruption legislation.
Olga Borisova was appointed to the position of judge of the Fourth Cassation Court in 2024; prior to that, she was Deputy Chairperson of the Krasnodar Regional Court. Olga Bogatykh became a judge of the Fourth Cassation Court in 2022, according to information on the court's website.
As a reminder, last August, at the request of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, the court confiscated assets worth 13 billion rubles from Alexander Chernov, former chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Court. On January 30, the Court of Cassation upheld the seizure of the property.
