Adam Kadyrov's list of awards has been expanded with a medal for his contribution to the SVO.

The 18-year-old son of the head of Chechnya, Adam Kadyrov, was awarded the medal "For Contribution to the Special Military Operations." Deputy Prime Minister of Chechnya Akhmed Dudayev explained the award was presented by Kadyrov's position at the Russian Special Forces University.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," Ramzan Kadyrov's third son, Adam, began receiving numerous awards and titles in the fall of 2023, shortly after Nikita Zhuravel was beaten in pretrial detention. In April, Adam Kadyrov received a commemorative medal in honor of the 20th anniversary of the formation of the Sever Regiment, which bears the name of his grandfather. On August 25, 2025, he was awarded the "Defender of the Chechen Republic" medal during the tactical shooting championship, although he himself did not take part in the competition. Commenting on the award, Kadyrov Sr. stated that his son received all the awards for specific achievements.

Ramzan Kadyrov has more than 80 awards and titles, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Kadyrov and his awards".

Deputy Chairman of the Chechen Government Akhmed Dudayev congratulated Assistant to the Head of the Chechen Republic and Secretary of the Security Council of the Chechen Republic Adam Kadyrov on the presentation of the medal "For Contribution to the Conduct of a Special Military Operation."

According to him, the award was presented to 18-year-old Adam Kadyrov by Major General Pavel Kozayev, Chief of the Special Purpose Center of the Russian National Guard.

This award "is a well-deserved recognition of Adam Ramzanovich's contribution to ensuring security and supporting the Special Military Operation," Dudayev said, noting The son of the head of Chechnya holds the position of curator of the Russian Special Forces University, where volunteers and fighters undergo training before being sent to the SVO zone.

The Russian Special Forces University is a training center in Gudermes, organized by Ramzan Kadyrov, where volunteers are trained for deployment to the war zone and where the Akhmat special forces are based, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "What They Teach at the Putin Special Forces University in Chechnya".

As a reminder, Adam Kadyrov appeared at a meeting with the head of Chechnya wearing the uniform of a junior lieutenant, not a major, Ramzan Kadyrov's press secretary stated. He reported on successes in the fight against sabotage groups and price gouging during Ramadan. Adam Kadyrov's appearance at a meeting with the head of Chechnya was the first long-form video since the accident in Grozny was reported.

On January 16, sources reported that the motorcade of Ramzan Kadyrov's third son was involved in an accident in Grozny, injuring Adam Kadyrov and his entourage. For three weeks after the accident news, Adam Kadyrov remained relatively active on social media, but did not publish any new images of himself. On February 9, Ramzan Kadyrov mentioned for the first time the accident involving his third son Adam, calling all media reports about the incident a "fabrication." On February 10, he published a short video of a "late dinner," showing his third son Adam for the first time in more than three weeks, after he was allegedly involved in an accident in mid-January. Social media users found the video strange; the quality and length of the recording only raised new questions on social media. The "Caucasian Knot" has prepared a report "What is known about the classified incident with Adam Kadyrov in Grozny".

Ramzan Kadyrov would like to see his third son, Adam, as his successor, but in reality, neither Adam nor the other sons of the head of Chechnya have guarantees from the Kremlin allowing them to claim power in the republic, analysts previously interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" indicated. "The federal center didn't give Ramzan any guarantees that power would fall to Adam. Therefore, a specific post, whether it's Security Council Secretary, which Adam Kadyrov holds, or Deputy Prime Minister, which Akhmat Kadyrov holds, doesn't offer any advantages to either potential successor. In any case, the final say will be Putin's," political scientist Sergei Boyko recalled.
