Boiler room operation has been temporarily suspended
"Currently, boiler room operation has been temporarily suspended. Due to this, hot water supply to several residential buildings has been cut off. Services are already working to restore the equipment as quickly as possible," she reported.
Authorities have decided to declare a local state of emergency, the mayor added. "The commission has begun surveying the area, buildings, and assessing the damage. I emphasize once again: all victims will be provided with the necessary assistance," the publication states.
Taganrog is regularly subject to air attacks
As a reminder, Taganrog, in the western district of which the Beriev Aircraft Plant (Taganrog Aviation Complex) is located, is regularly subject to air attacks. For example, on April 19, three people were injured in a drone attack, and the grounds of the aircraft plant and park were cordoned off. Telegram users then called for the plant to be evacuated outside the city limits for the safety of residents.
According to official data, at least five people have been killed in Taganrog as a result of air strikes since November 2025. . Reports of these incidents mentioned addresses located near the Beriev Aircraft Company.
Residents of a building in central Taganrog damaged by a missile strike in the summer of 2023 were paid 10,000 rubles each by the authorities and had their broken windows replaced, although the apartments required significant repairs. Victims have the right to seek compensation through the courts, lawyers interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" indicated.
Vehicle damage has repeatedly appeared in reports on the consequences of drone attacks in the Rostov Region, but compensation for it was not provided until December 2025. Only after a Taganrog resident who lost his car asked about payments during a direct line with the governor did the authorities establish a compensation procedure for car owners. The resolution provides for a payment of up to 500,000 rubles per damaged vehicle and up to a million rubles per destroyed vehicle.
In the Rostov Region, there is a ban on filming aerial attacks and their aftermath, air defense operations, and military units. The corresponding governor's decree was published on the "Caucasian Knot".
