A drone attack was recorded in two districts of the Rostov region.

Last night, the military shot down drones in the Matveyevo-Kurgansky and Tarasovsky districts. According to the governor, there were no injuries.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on the night of May 21, the military shot down more than 30 drones in five districts of the Rostov Region: Chertkovsky, Millerovsky, Tarasovsky, Bokovsky, and Sholokhovsky, Governor Yuri Slyusar reported. Two forest fires broke out in the Sholokhovsky district, but they were extinguished.

Last night, drones were destroyed in the Matveyevo-Kurgansky and Tarasovsky districts, Yuri Slyusar reported on his Telegram channel. "There were no reports of casualties or damage on the ground," he wrote.

As a reminder, the Rostov Region was hit by three drone attacks on May 17. One attack damaged the building of the Azov branch of the Don Technical University. During another attack, a drone was shot down over a children's camp where people were camping, and debris damaged the building's roof. On the morning and afternoon of May 17, drones were also shot down in Taganrog.

Taganrog, home to the Beriev Aircraft Plant (TANTK), is regularly subject to aerial attacks. On April 19, three people were injured in a drone attack, and the grounds of the aircraft plant and park were cordoned off. Telegram users then called for the plant to be evacuated outside the city limits for the safety of residents.

According to official data, at least five people have been killed in Taganrog as a result of airstrikes since November 2025. . Reports of these incidents mentioned addresses located near the Beriev Aircraft Company.
