The unveiling of a memorial plaque at Yessentuki School No. 4 dedicated to Maxim Shabashov, a graduate of the school, was announced on his Telegram channel by Yessentuki Mayor Vladimir Krutnikov. Shabashov was killed on December 31, 2024, in a drone attack and posthumously awarded the Order of Courage. The statement provided no other biographical details about the slain official.
Thus, at least 946 fighters from Stavropol have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
The death of a fighter from the Apanasenkovsky District was previously reported on April 27. That day, the district head announced that Sergey Shatalov had been killed in the military operation.
