As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by May 7, authorities and security forces had officially recognized at least 392 fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria as killed.
The fact that three residents of Baksan were killed in the military operation in Ukraine was revealed in a report by the city administration on the presentation of posthumous awards to their families.
Akhmed Teuvazhukov, Ruslan Nagoyev, and Islam Sizhazhev were killed in the military operation, according to a message on the administration's Telegram channel on May 6. The report does not provide details about the fighters' biographies, circumstances, or dates of their deaths.
Thus, at least 395 fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. The "Caucasian Knot" knows the names of 382 of them, and the deaths of another 13 were revealed in a report by the republic's authorities on payments to the families of those killed in 2022.

The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and security agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "NVO Statistics: Losses Are Mounting for Southern Russia."
State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on Channel One do not guarantee state support for the families of those killed, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Three Comrades Served: How the Authorities Are Depriving the Families of Killed Volunteers of Benefits," which describes the stories of the slain soldiers.
