A serviceman from Dagestan was killed in Ukraine.

Rasul Mutavov from the Kumtorkalinsky district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have publicly named at least 1,936 Dagestani soldiers killed there.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by May 14, officials and security forces had acknowledged at least 1,935 combatants from Dagestan killed in combat in Ukraine.

The name of another Dagestani soldier killed in Ukraine was announced by the administration of the republic's Kumtorkalinsky district, reporting the presentation of a posthumous award to his family.

For his participation in combat, Rasul Mutavov was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage. The award was presented to his wife, Khadizhat Mutavova, according to the municipal administration's official channel. The age and biographical information of the killed man were not provided in the officials' statement.

Thus, at least 1,936 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in Ukraine. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially announced by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Northeastern Military District Statistics: Losses Are Mounting for Southern Russia".

At the end of December, the Kumtorkalinsky District administration reported that Umar Muslimov, Nazhmudin Kanamatov, Khizri Murzaev, and Malik Dzhalalov had been killed on the Ukrainian front.
