The case of former Vice Governor of Krasnodar Krai Alexander Nesterenko has been submitted to the Leninsky District Court of Krasnodar. Previously, the official was accused of abuse of office; he is now charged with three counts of abuse of office.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," former Vice Governor of Krasnodar Krai Alexander Nesterenko was arrested in May 2025 and is accused of abuse of office. The day before, he was dismissed due to "lack of results" in the construction sector. In June, the court transferred him to house arrest.

The investigation changed the charges against Alexander Nesterenko: instead of abuse of office, he is now charged with three counts of abuse of office (paragraphs "b" and "e" of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Russian Criminal Code), Kommersant reported on May 8, citing materials from the criminal case submitted to the Leninsky District Court of Krasnodar Krai.

The court's website indicates that Nesterenko's case was submitted on May 6, and the first hearing is scheduled for May 18. Judge M.V. Khomutov will hear the case, and lawyer Alexander Burnaev will defend Nesterenko.
