The massive attack on Tuapse continued all night and frightened the city's residents. The smell of burning lingers in Tuapse this morning, while Rospotrebnadzor reported no air pollution.

The second victim, an adult, is being identified, Veniamin Kondratyev, head of the Krasnodar Territory, announced today.

One man, a minor, and three women sought medical attention with various injuries, one of whom was hospitalized in moderate condition. She is receiving all necessary treatment. The others were treated at the scene without hospitalization.

A state of emergency has been declared in the Tuapse District. UAV debris damaged 24 private and six apartment buildings, as well as two educational institutions and a music school. Damage assessment commissions have been working on the scene since this morning.

Tuapse resident Arina reported that she heard the first loud sounds around 1:00 AM. "Closer to 2:00 AM, serious incoming and downings started. There were explosions practically every minute. I don't know if drones were being shot down over the city or over the sea, but the whole house shook, not just once or twice, but many times, the glass in the windows rattled. It was impossible to sleep," 93.ru quotes her as saying.

According to her, the siren was sounding frequently, but even without it, it was already clear that we were being bombed. "The building was shaking every minute, the sky was on fire, the siren was blaring... We slept on the floor in the hallway, I heard the neighbors going down to the basement, but we didn't. Deep down, after each explosion, I hoped that this was the last one, but even at 4:00 it wasn't over. It would die down for about 5 minutes and then start again. I can't say exactly when the last one hit, but by 6:33 everything had calmed down, only the whole sky was in smoke, it smelled pretty bad. Now the smell is not as pungent, but it is there and it is still smoking heavily," the publication quotes her as saying.

There has been no official report on what exactly is burning.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, the concentration of harmful substances in the atmospheric air does not exceed the norm, said the head of Tuapse, Sergei Boyko. "Agency specialists are collecting samples at designated points in the city center – on Marshal Zhukov, Karl Marx, and Gorky Streets. The procedure is being conducted taking into account wind direction. Samples will continue to be taken three times a day – morning, afternoon, and evening," he reported on his Telegram channel, adding that residents should minimize their time outdoors.

A post about the aftermath of the explosions on the "My Tuapse" Telegram channel has garnered 172 comments. "I woke up at 12:44 a.m. from an explosion somewhere very close and immediately heard a drone flying over the house. It wasn't the siren or the warning signal that woke me up, but the explosion. I ran on weak legs to the child's bedroom, and in complete darkness we ran from the second floor, but where to? Where to run if there are no places in the house to hide from drones and shrapnel," wrote user O Z, explaining that she lives in a private house without a basement.

"We only posted a notice that the shelter is in the basement, and the keys to the shelter are in apartment number..." noted Savior or killer.
