Alexander Kochiyev, who was killed in the war zone in Ukraine, has been buried in Tskhinvali, the press service of the President of South Ossetia reported on its website.
Alexander Kochiyev was 39 years old and left behind three children. He had been missing since April 2024. An investigation revealed that the soldier was killed while performing a combat mission, but due to the prolonged active fighting, his body could not be immediately retrieved.
Thus, at least 50 soldiers from South Ossetia have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
