A teenager injured in an explosion at a fireworks warehouse in Vladikavkaz has been hospitalized in a children's hospital. Four people who were taken to the Republican Clinical Hospital have been discharged.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot," an explosion occurred at a fireworks warehouse in Vladikavkaz on April 10. Two people were killed and 14 injured, including two children who lived in neighboring houses where the blast wave blew out windows. A state of emergency has been declared in the city. There were 13 injured people remaining in hospitals.
By the evening of April 10, nine of the 13 hospitalized people were in the Republican Clinical Hospital, two were in the Emergency Hospital, and two children were in the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital.
According to the Ministry of Health, 10 people injured in the emergency in Vladikavkaz remain in hospitals in North Ossetia today, the head of the republic, Sergey Menyailo, reported on his Telegram channel.
Two are in the Emergency Hospital. "One of them is in serious condition, doctors are doing everything possible to save his life. The second patient is also under constant medical observation, his condition is assessed as stable," the official wrote.
Another teenager sought medical attention this evening.
Five of the injured are at the Republican Clinical Hospital. According to doctors, their condition is stable. "Three children are undergoing treatment at the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital. Two minors were previously hospitalized, but another teenager with a concussion sought medical attention this evening. Their lives are not in danger," the head of the republic reported.
This morning, work at the site of the emergency resumed, Menyailo noted. "Rescuers continue to clear the rubble, and utility service specialists are also at the site," he wrote.
A criminal case has been opened in connection with the explosion under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation , the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for North Ossetia reported on its website on the evening of April 10.
"According to the investigation, on April 10, 2026, a bang followed by a fire occurred in a warehouse for storing pyrotechnic products located on Partizansky Lane in Vladikavkaz. Employees were present at the warehouse at the time of the incident. The exact number of dead and injured is being determined," the publication stated.
