Abkhaz security forces detained a Sochi resident who was photographing her son in front of the Sukhum stele with a Georgian flag. They were given a warning conversation and then expelled from the country.
Sochi residents who were photographed at the entrance to Sukhum with a Georgian flag were detained by officers of the State Security Service of Abkhazia.
According to the agency, Nina Bronik and her 18-year-old son, Timur Ugurov, had come to Abkhazia to visit relatives. Against the backdrop of the Sukhum entrance stele, Bronik photographed her son, who was standing with the Georgian national flag. Passersby saw this and reported it to law enforcement, the Aiashara Telegram channel reported on April 10.
The detainees were given a preventive conversation, after which they left Abkhazia, accompanied by SGB officers.
Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that at the end of March, Georgian resident Emzar Bagishvili, suspected of espionage, was arrested in Abkhazia.
