A Rostov-on-Don court sentenced Dagestani resident Ramazan Musayev to four years in prison after finding him guilty of inciting terrorism.

Musayev's sentence was handed down by the Southern District Military Court.

According to investigators, Musayev, while at his residence in the village of Bolshaya Areshevka in the Kizlyar District, posted videos online that endorsed the actions of the Islamic State, a terrorist organization banned in Russia and recognized as a terrorist organization, in the murder of military personnel and civilians, as well as scenes of armed clashes and hostage-taking. and executions, the court's press service reported on its Telegram channel on April 10.

The court found the man guilty of committing three crimes under Part 1.1 of Article 205.1 (assistance to terrorist activity), two crimes under Part 2 of Article 205.2 (justification of terrorism), and five crimes under Part 2 of Article 280 (public calls for terrorism) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and sentenced him to four years in a general regime penal colony.

Ramazan Musayev was born in April 1990 in the village of Bolshaya Areshevka in the Kizlyar District, according to his entry in the Rosfinmonitoring register of terrorists and extremists. His data was added to the list in September 2024.
